At Vestergaard Company, we continue to view apprenticeship and vocational education as pillars of our long-term commitment to sustainable development and inclusive growth. Now in the second year of our structured partnership with Lejre Municipality, our dedication to preparing young people for the future remains stronger than ever.
Continued Collaboration with Lejre Municipality
Building on the foundation laid last year, we are proud to engage with all 7th-grade students once again across Lejre Municipality through informative and inspiring school visits. These sessions introduce students to vocational paths and highlight the many opportunities available in modern industries like ours. We also look forward to repeating what became a clear highlight of 2024—our first annual education and career fair for 8th-grade students. The event, hosted at Vestergaard’s facilities and attended by local businesses and vocational advisors, was met with enthusiasm from students, parents, and educators alike. We are excited to welcome a new group in late summer 2025 and build on the success of last year’s fair.
Expanding and Diversifying Our Apprenticeship Program
This year, we have taken significant steps to broaden the scope of our apprenticeship offerings. In addition to supporting apprentices in production and technical roles, we now also proudly host apprentices in even more departments across our administration, including finance, logistics, IT, and sales/customer support. This expansion reflects our belief that diverse career pathways deserve equal investment, and that hands-on training should be available across all facets of our business.
As a new and enriching development, we also had the pleasure of welcoming an international apprentice for a study visit in our production department. This experience brought valuable cultural exchange and underscored the universal importance of high-quality vocational training.
Each apprentice at Vestergaard receives a personalized training plan and dedicated mentorship. We take pride in offering more than just on-the-job training—we foster a supportive learning culture that values individual growth and resilience.
