Our approach to sustainability
At Vestergaard Company, sustainability is not an isolated initiative — it is a guiding principle that informs how we design our products, operate our business, collaborate with partners, and support our customers. We believe that long-term success is inseparable from responsible stewardship of the world we operate in, and we are committed to contributing positively at every stage of our value chain.
Supporting our customers’ sustainability journeys
Our customers face increasing expectations to reduce environmental impact, improve resource efficiency, and meet evolving regulatory standards. We see it as part of our responsibility to help them succeed. By developing innovative, energy-efficient solutions and continuously improving the performance and lifespan of our equipment, we enable our customers to lower emissions, reduce total cost of ownership, and operate more sustainably.
We listen closely to customer needs, integrate their insights into our product development, and collaborate with them on practical steps toward greener ground support operations. Sustainability is not something we deliver alone — it is something we achieve together.
Taking responsibility throughout our own value chain
Our commitment begins within our own organization. We work systematically to minimize waste, optimize resource consumption, and integrate sustainability considerations into daily decision-making. This includes responsible sourcing, reducing emissions from our production and logistics processes, and designing products that are built to last, easy to service, and simple to upgrade.
We also expect high standards from the partners and suppliers we work with. Through transparent dialogue, shared expectations, and long-term partnerships, we strive to ensure that sustainability is embedded across the entire value chain from raw materials to end-of-life handling.
Acting locally, contributing globally
While our operational footprint begins at home, we recognize our responsibility in the broader global context. The UN Sustainable Development Goals provide a shared direction for companies and societies alike. We actively align our efforts with the SDGs most closely connected to our business — such as climate action, responsible consumption and production, and industry innovation — and we continuously evaluate how we can contribute more meaningfully.
Our ambition is not only to reduce our own impact, but to be a positive force in the global transition toward cleaner, smarter, and more efficient aviation and industrial operations.
Commitment, transparency, and continuous improvement
Sustainability is a journey of constant progress. We hold ourselves accountable through clear goals, transparent reporting, and a mindset of ongoing improvement. Whether through product innovation, operational efficiency, or stronger partnerships, we are dedicated to moving step by step toward a more sustainable future — for our customers, for our employees, and for the world around us.

Our product roadmap
Our long-term product roadmap is built around a clear and ambitious objective: “Engineering a safer and greener future in ground handling.” This vision guides every strategic decision we make — from early-stage innovation to the continuous refinement of existing equipment — and reflects our commitment to driving meaningful progress across the aviation industry.
Building on a strong sustainability foundation
Our roadmap is grounded in decades of product development, operational experience, and engineering expertise. Over the years, we have consistently focused on safety, energy efficiency, and durability, developing solutions that support our customers’ operational performance while reducing their environmental impact.
Targeting zero accidents through smart, safe engineering
Safety has always been a core principle for Vestergaard Company, and our roadmap elevates this even further. Our ambition is bold yet essential: zero accidents associated with the use of our equipment.
To achieve this, we are expanding our focus on advanced safety systems, intelligent automation, human-machine interface improvements, and rigorous design standards. We are working towards full automation in the operation while eliminating all risks. This is a process that will take some time, and standards will have to be re-written and adjusted. We aim to achieve this by 2030.
Driving toward CO₂-neutral ground handling operations
The aviation industry is undergoing a significant transformation, and ground handling must evolve with it. Our product roadmap places energy optimization and emissions reduction at its center.
We are committed to enabling CO₂-neutral ground handling operations, both through the electrification of equipment and through optimizations that reduce consumption, extend runtime, and minimize overall lifecycle emissions.
This includes investments in alternative energy sources, battery technologies, smart charging, system integrations, and design strategies that reduce environmental impact from production to end-of-life. Our ambition is to achieve this goal by 2030.
Innovation that benefits the entire ecosystem
A greener and safer future requires more than just better machines — it requires solutions that integrate seamlessly into the operational ecosystem. Our roadmap therefore looks beyond individual products and focuses on how equipment, digital systems, infrastructure, and people interact.
By strengthening telemetry capabilities, enabling data-driven decision-making, and working closely with customers to understand real-world challenges, we create improvements that deliver both sustainability gains and measurable operational benefits.
A future-shaping commitment
Our product roadmap is not a static plan; it is a dynamic commitment to continuous improvement. As technology evolves and customer needs change, we will keep pushing boundaries, exploring new opportunities, and refining our approach.
Through this long-term strategy, we strive to help our customers transition to safer, cleaner, and more efficient ground handling operations — and to take an active role in shaping a more sustainable future for the aviation industry.
