Building on the proven Elephant® MY Lite platform, the fully electric Elephant® e-MY Lite combines the same dependable deicing performance, rapid delivery and straightforward operation with the benefits of an electric drivetrain. It is designed for airports and ground handling operators looking to reduce local emissions and noise while maintaining an efficient and reliable deicing operation.
The Elephant® e-MY Lite is a versatile open-basket deicer featuring a total fluid capacity of 7,600 litres in two tanks for pre-mixed Type I deicing fluid and Type II or Type IV anti-icing fluid. Its intuitive design and excellent operator visibility make it easy to learn and operate, while optional one-man operation provides additional operational flexibility during the winter season.
The vehicle is built on Vestergaard’s fully electric chassis and is available with either a 70 kWh or 140 kWh battery pack, both equipped with a 22 kW onboard charger. Fluid heating can be provided by either a fully electric 40 kW system or a 230 kW diesel heater, allowing operators to configure the vehicle according to their operational requirements.
The Elephant® e-MY Lite delivers virtually silent operation while eliminating small particle pollution from the vehicle itself, creating a cleaner and more comfortable working environment on the ramp. Excellent visibility from the driver’s seat further enhances safe and efficient manoeuvring in busy airport environments.
Like the Elephant® MY Lite, the fully electric version is available with a wide range of options, including one-man operation, ground gun, bottom filling, reverse camera, hot-at-nozzle, flow sensor, basket safety sensors and numerous other features to match individual operational requirements.
